Say Hooo! is the brilliant Holger Beier. Now living, curating, designing, recording, producing and DJ-ing from Florianopolis, the hippest beach in Brasil. Look for the release of his productions of D.F.'s Mexican Institute of Sound and Brasilian native Pat C in 09. Holger was formerly based in Berlin and co-owner of the influential Bungalow label as well as one-half of DJ team and recording artist Le Hamond Inferno.

NSM PSM - Clap Your Brains Off (Say Hooo! remix)

Kay of NSM PSM just dropped this rocked out remix of his track "Clap Your Brains Off" onto my desktop. Remix is by our friend in Florianopolis, Brasil - SAY HOOO! - aka Holger Beier of the Berlin-based Bungalaw label and one-half of DJ team and recording artist Le Hamond Inferno.

The New York Times called Florianopolis (Floripa to the locals) "The hippest year round beach scene in South America." I asked Holger to send some photos. Let's hope he obliges.

Say Hooo!

Say Hooo! is the brand new moniker for Holger Beier, co-founder of the seminal international club-pop label Bungalow Records out of Berlin as well as one-half of the DJ and recording team Le Hammond Inferno. Holger lives and records now in a lush jungle liar in Florianopolis in Brasil where he starts his day, every day, with a surf and a coconut.

He was in Mexico City where I saw him DJ at the Dunkhouse - yeah Nike has a cool club there with an art gallery and a shoe store right next to the dancefloor. When the first guitar chords of the track below roared out of the PA, I was like - who is this new band I haven't read about in the NME. You'll probably figure out why pretty quickly. Le Hammond Inferno were among the most prolific and proficient mashup artists back in those days.

Holger was in Mexico producing the new Mexican Institute of Sound album, hence his DJ appearance - and he's also finished a new Pat C album. Pat C - Brasilian chanteuse & Holger's wife - pop star in Japan and soon to be everywhere else.
